With nearly half of the 6000 languages from when we were born  no longer being taught, it is vital to record the history of these people.  One way to record these histories is through story telling. Story Telling is a very powerful tool that when used right can help people and ultimately our students connect at a level they otherwise wouldn’t with what they are learning. Wade Davis presented an interesting point about cultures throughout the world and why it is important to tell the stories of those cultures who face an end. It will be interesting to see how National Geographic creates the stories of these people and the impact it could have in preserving the cultures.
